Hey guys !!! praise Jesus !!!
This Thursday was yet another anointed time with the lord through Praise & Worship led by Sharun !!! The talk given this Thursday was none other than our own Bro Milton . His talked was based on Temptation. Following is a brief on this talk.
Who is the one that is tempted ?
----> the natural answer that comes to us is the the one who has not experienced / walking with the lord . -------- > !!!!!!!!!WRONG!!!!!!!! ------> It is when you have made Jesus the Lord and saviour of you life ..------> . !!!!Temptation starts!!!!!!!!. Because before you experienced the lord you were a part of the world, but when you accept the lord -- you become his child , no longer the devil had a grip over you ..... when that happen the devil is ANGRY!!! .
The real test of a Christian is not how many retreats you go for or how many outreach programs you attend, but the real test of a Christian comes at the time of temptation .

Temptation either makes a Christian or brakes a Christian .
Jn 10:10 --> say " 1. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
2. I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full
The role of temptation is to make a christian a real christian.
So here comes the BIG question . Is temptation Good ?? ------------> Yes --- > thank and praise God for it !!! :-).
James 10:10 -->
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds -------->
,because you know that the testing of your faith -------------------> develops perseverance
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be ---------------> mature and complete, not lacking anything.
We must consider it pure Joy ----> cause God permits temptation in our lives to test us ( see 1cor 10:13 and Job 1:12 ) He didn't even spare His Son who was tempted in the Desert. ------> we need to take our Battle ( our temptation /struggles) to the lord.
The word of God says we are to be transformed in the image and likeness of Christ , how else can be achieve this with out being tested -- ( tempted ).
James 1:12 -- > Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial , because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Rev 3:21 tells us that we are called to be over comers . Jesus was tempted in every respect he was 100% God and 100% man , so he faced surely the same temptation we are facing .
Let all remember that this life on earth is like a drop in the ocean and the life with Jesus Christ is the ocean.
So, How do we resist temptation ? ?

---> in matt 4 we see that He was "filled" with the spirit and was "led" by the spirit. In a similar way we too need to be continually filled by the spirit and thus being led by the spirit , this can happen only by spending time with the lord.
---> eph 6:13 give is way and means to overcome temptation:
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
- Stand therefore,
--------------------> having fastened on the belt of truth,
--------------------> and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, - take up the shield of faith, with which you can !!!!!!extinguish!!!!! all the flaming darts of the evil one;
- and take the helmet of salvation,
- and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
- praying at all times in the Spirit,with all prayer and supplication.
If we need to over come temptation We need to know how it all starts ------> well it start as a thought in your mind ----> Rom 12:2 -- > Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind -----> so the BIG question is """ how do we begin transform our minds "
One way we can do this is by using the word of God in our times of temptation :
- If you are being tempted to impure /sexual thought -----> counter-attack that temptation with ------> 1Thes 4:7 ---> For God hath not called us unto uncleanness ( impurity, immorality ) , but unto holiness. ( pure life )
- If you are being tempted in areas of addiction ( overeating, alcoholism , drugs ...u name it !!!) ----> counter-attack with -----> 1corth 6:19 ----> What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you and which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?
- If you are being tempted in areas on worry ----> counter-attack with ---> Jer 29:11---> For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. ( also read Luke 1:37 )
I know this talk given by Milton has thought us quite a bit , even as we have finished reading this we now need to implement these teaching .
I also want to praise and thank God for our Sister Margret for her Amazing!!! testimony and the way the lord is working in her life
