However, this particular Tuesday was extraordinary. The team had traveled from London, and it was declared a Day of Prophecy. While I was curious to see how the evening would unfold, especially as prophecies are often given to multiple attendees, I wasn’t expecting one for myself.
The meeting began at 7:30 p.m. with praise and worship led by Brother Michael. By 8 p.m., Brother Javier Campos started his talk. As usual, I was busy recording the session, eager to hear what the preacher had to say. Early in his address, he asked the crowd if they were ready to hear a prophecy. Unsurprisingly, the answer was a resounding yes.
Brother Javier shared that he had prayed the previous night and received a word from the Lord, which he had written down and emailed to himself. Holding up his phone, he revealed the email and described a specific person:
- A man seated in the third row on the left side.
- Of brown-skinned origin, with a beard.
- Wearing a blue jumper.
At this moment, the crowd began pointing at me. I was completely taken aback. I hadn’t anticipated being singled out, and in the video recording, you can see the moment I stopped filming.
Brother Javier continued to read from the notes he had written the night before:
1. The man works in IT, specifically in computers and programming.
This stunned me because no one at the meeting knew this about me.
2. The man has an evangelical calling.
Just three days prior, my wife and I had attended a street evangelism program in Slough, led by Alex and Maria Heath. Even before that, we had been discerning a call to evangelism but hadn’t shared this with anyone.
He declared that both my wife and I were called to evangelism and that God would use us mightily to spread the Gospel. At this point, I was overwhelmed because, just hours before the meeting, I had confessed to Diana that street evangelism might not be “my thing.”
Brother Javier then turned to Diana and asked her to stand. We were both in tears. Diana was so moved she couldn’t even speak her name.
The prophecy continued with words of encouragement:
Courage to take risks for God:
“If you take risks for God and put Him first, you will bless many people.”
An evangelistic call, likened to St. Paul’s:
“Just as St. Paul was called to preach, so are you. It’s not something you’ve chosen, but something God is calling you to do.”
This touched me deeply because I had just completed a 10-week course on the life of St. Paul a week earlier.
Brother Javier then addressed specific concerns Diana and I had been discussing privately:
The risks of evangelism:
“I know you’ve been worried about the risks of stepping out in faith, but God will guide you.”
Strength to make necessary changes:
“Through this prophecy, God is giving you the strength to make the changes you’ve been talking about.”
He reassured us:
- “God will bring you into His intimacy—don’t worry about finances.”
- “In the coming seasons, you will have more time for God and your family. Love your wife dearly; she needs quality time. Pour your love into her.”
With a smile, he concluded: “You will see many people blessed because of you. If you take risks and put God first, when you arrive on the other side, there will be countless people welcoming you.”
The prophecy ended with a heartfelt prayer over us and our evangelical mission.
Praise God for this incredible prophecy over our lives!
