It was based on the scripture verse 1
thes 5:18 - in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus to you .
God can never work in our life's wen we grumble or get frustrated with a
particular situation going soo wrong .
We need to remember that all thing are in his control
What are we supposed to do in such trying times !!! -- thanks and praise
God ( cause all things work for a purpose )
But when you thank and praise God don't have hidden agendas (we somtimes
think that because the bible say thank and praise God and if i do so the
problems will move away ) but thats not the reason to thanks and praise God
.
But you rather thank and praise him cause you should truly know that he is
in complete control of your situation.
In the book of Job we see how Job replies to his wife when she says "
curse God and die !!"" he tells her in Job 2:10 ---- "He replied, "You
are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not
trouble?"
Aren't we sometimes like fools when we start grumbling when thing don't
work out for us ..... we dont see the bigger picture what God has in plan
for us. The word of God says : the lord allows good as well as bad
things:"
So lets look at how serious is the consequence of grumbling or getting
frustrated over a suitation : ( we will look at the book of Number ch 11 )
We all know how many years the Israelites were kept as slaves -- 380 yrs
.... thats a longgggggg time....... but we also see that the lord has
shown his maximum power in freeing the isralites frm slavery than any where
in the bible.
But even after seen so much power of the lords the the Israelites got
frustrated in the desert and started grumbling ---- what was the result
----- the Journey that was supposed to take them 10 day to cover by foot
took them 40 yrs ( they were moving in circles ).. the more they grumbled
the longer it took them to find the promise land .
So In our lives too the more we grumble / get frustrated over a situation
---- we start moving --- round and round and round ...in our situation .
Two thing that will happen when we start praising God
1. He will take away the problem
2. he will give you the strength to face the suitation.
