1. I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
What this verse basically tells us is ---- memorize the word of God ----- by-heart it --- chew on it --- It is very important that we memorise the word of God, Because at times when we are tempted it is only the word that can save us ( cause its not possible to physically carry the bible around !!! ) . Rom 12:2 tell us "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. " --- how else can we do this if we don't memorize bible passages
2 Praise be to you, O LORD;
teach me your decrees.
The word " teach me you decree " means we need to personalize the word of God in our. How do we personalize it ? some times it happens that the same verse you have read one week ago has different meaning to it this time . Let the spirit to guide you when you read the word. Cause the spirit can speak to you through the word in the situation you are in.
3 With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.
This is basically tells us to verbalize the word of God -- let the word of God be spoken out by your mouth --- [ but this can happen only if you follow rule no1 .which is memorize the word of God ] ---- the word of God is meant to encourage other and your self , lift the those who are down -- it is used as an act of faith ----- it used as an amour ( a double edge sword ) -- speaking out the word of God also bring a positive change in your life.
4 I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
WE need to finalize the Word of God --- make it your Goal
5 I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
when we think about meditation we think about sitting in a quite room and meditation on the lord .... But all of us mediate all the time. Meditation is what we are thinking about in a ideal moments .... ( like waiting fora a bus, travelling in a train, or may be just walking down a street ) ... most of us including me think about the problem and the thing we need to be doing ... ..... we as "" Christians : need to meditate on the word of God .. Meditation is a deliberate attempt to think about the work of God. .....BUT to do this we need to follow rule no one ( memorize the word of God ) .... so all this actually boils down to memorizing the word of God .... :-)
6 I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.
make it as a memorial in your life to keep the word of God as the most important !!!

Ps 119: 9 - - How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
1 John 2:14 - have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
