Only one thing is needed

"..Mary, who was seated at the Lord's feet, listening to His word." Luke 10:39

Dear Saints, greetings to you in Jesus name! Only one thing is needed for you and me in this whole life. Yes, listening to God and walking in Holy Spirit. Word of God says, As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord's feet, listening to His word. Today, Holy Spirit is teaching us everything and telling what Jesus want us to do. Always be a listener and doer of His Word.

But Martha was distracted with all her preparations and she came up to Him (Jesus) and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me". Did you invited Jesus in your life to take control of your life and then commanding Jesus to do your will in your life just like Martha did?

Martha opened her home to Jesus then started instructing Jesus, many times we as believers who invited Jesus in our heart instruct Jesus to do this and that. It is good to listen from God in order to understand what He want to do in our life rather than instructing Lord to do our own self will in life. Also, God is not interested in us being much distracted regarding various good activities and preparing events all the time, God want you and me to sit in His presence daily and listen to what He is saying. Amen!

Some may think that its good to be an active member in church, doing good work in ministry, doing great job at work place, being good at home, etc. But, before that make sure that you spend most of your time in listening from Lord everyday and walk in the light of God. Always pray in Holy Spirit and be connected with our Lord Jesus. God loves us so much and He want us to have fellowship with Him. This is the reason why Jesus replied Martha that only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, it will not be taken away from her. Yes, always listen to Lord Jesus!
