Focus -- key to break through
Ecclesiastes 10 :10 if the axe is dull and one does not sharpen the edge he must use much strength . But a wise person uses the wisdom of sharpening the edge .
Focus is to concentrate you energy on something .
It is to make something the center of your activity
we are not getting break thought is cause we are not focusing . Focus gives us the sharp edge to break through ..
when we say focus we are not saying quit every things and focus on one thing. You play mutliple roles as a man in your life ( husband , church leader , worship leader , programmer , brother, etc ) .. so focus here does not mean jsut choosing one ares in your life .
For example .. it means for a period of time you focus on your health .. you got so many things in your health to take care of .. and you know what all you have to to .. but you cant do it all ... So jsut choose one thing this year in regards to your health ..
another example .. in the area of your career ... you know you got so many things to accomplish in the ... but you cannot do all in one year like ( linux perl , java, php , getting a better salary , better job ) .. you choose one particular subject .. eg: web developemnt and focus on it for a constant period of 6 mths.. For that entire 6 mths don't sway in your focus. Have a sharp edge for break though in that area.
it means prioritization .. you need to know and write down what more important .. learning that development or finding a better job or learn Android development. You have to choose one and stick with it .
concentration is very important
in order to focus you need to block out -- distractions.
Block out your distraction
In the areas of your spiritual life , why aren't you breaking thought ... lack of focus .. what distracting your focus . for eg : when you sit to pray, you become so aware of your cell phone, suddenly your cell phone become more important than Gods word. Switch off that cell phone.
Get out all those distraction do that you can read the word of God ... You can pray
The only reason men fail is cause of broken focus.
James 1 : a double mind man is unstable in all his ways.

Ultimately our great grand Focus is Jesus. Jesus should be the center of every thing I do . Our focus should remain on the Lord Jesus Christ . He is our model , we run .
